Clean, Efficient Polyester Bonding
PBF features a lower Tg and faster crystallization than PBT, enabling easier processing. Its low melting point (~170 °C) allows clean, contamination-free bonding with other polyester materials.
Mechanical properties
PBF combines excellent toughness and strength, with rigidity superior to PBT and some properties approaching or surpassing PET. It also delivers higher modulus and fatigue resistance.
High gas barrier
The oxygen-containing furan ring structure endows PBF with excellent gas barrier properties, making it a preferred material for high-performance packaging applications.
Sustainability
PBF is derived from renewable biomass, offering a low carbon footprint and reducing dependence on fossil resources compared with PBT.
